About the Water Editors
wasser-und-wasser.de is run by a small editorial group under Vagabond Consulting LLC. We're not water utility staff, doctors, or sales reps — we research, compare, ask the relevant agencies, and write up the result.
What we do
We take individual drinking-water topics apart: how does a filter actually work? What do the drinking-water regulations say? When does a filter make sense, when is it just burning money? Sources are linked in the article — German Federal Environment Agency, Robert Koch Institute, water-utility associations, manufacturer datasheets, peer-reviewed studies.
Who we are
For privacy reasons, we publish as a team rather than under individual real names. All content is editorially owned by the Water Editors. Reach us via the contact page.
Our editorial line
- Sources, not gut feeling: claims are backed by references to authorities, standards, studies, or manufacturer specs.
- Skeptical of miracle claims: "structured water", "alkaline water" and similar marketing constructs without scientific basis are called out as such.
- Skeptical of panic: "tap water is toxic" is generally not true for Germany. Where there are problems (old lead pipes, private wells, stagnation), we name them concretely.
- No remote diagnosis: for concrete health concerns, we point to your water utility, a doctor, or certified testing labs.
How we're funded
